On the campaign trail, I have been asked what is my position on the Gulch Deal and whether I would have supported it, had I been on the City Council at the time.
The answer is, no, I would not have voted for the Gulch. I would have supported several of the amendments that were offered, but still voted no on the final votes. The amount of public subsidy is too great, including the diversion of our Tax Allocation District dollars; the public benefit too little; and the lack of community input too unacceptable. I applaud those who are challenging this deal.
